T-Systems in South Asia, a
division of Deutsche Telekom's business customer brand T-Systems, is
securing managed services for its South Asian customers with Juniper
Networks ISG 2000 Integrated Security Gateways.
"The high performance of Juniper Networks' ISG 2000s protects our customer
networks without curbing latency-sensitive applications such as VoIP or
streaming media," said Thomas Jakob, CEO for T-Systems in the Asia South
Region.
T-Systems deployed the Juniper Networks devices in February as part of its
network expansion programme for Asia Pacific to protect a range of managed
services including enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs and video
streaming content.
The company is using the multi-gigabit firewall/VPN/IDP capabilities of the
ISG 2000s to offer a more complete converged managed solution, with faster
maintenance response time and reduced operational overhead.
Said Jakob, "As the foundation of our secure managed services offering, the
ISG 2000s ensure our customers benefit from the advantages of high speed
managed services without compromising security. Their ease of management
also translates to lower administrative costs and easier product
development."
Providing multi-gigabit performance, a modular architecture, and rich
virtualisation capabilities, the ISG 2000 is ideally suited for securing
enterprise, carrier and data centre environments where advanced
applications, such as VoIP and streaming media, dictate consistent, scalable
performance.
Integrating a best-in-class Deep Inspection firewall, VPN and DoS solutions,
the ISG 2000 secures reliable connectivity along with network- and
application-level protection for critical, high-traffic network segments.
Additionally, optional IDP functionality further provides zero day
protection against worms, trojans, spyware, keyloggers and other malware,
detecting and dropping malicious attacks in real-time while minimising the
time and expense associated with intrusion recovery.
"The spectrum of services available on the ISG 2000 enables next generation
reactive and proactive managed security for mission-critical business
applications," said Brad Gray, Vice President of Asia South Pacific for
Juniper Networks.
"Larger businesses can scale up or quickly add the appropriate security for
innovative new applications while sophisticated managed security
capabilities can now be extended to small and medium sized business with
minimal investment and low ongoing overhead." |
