Citrix announces NetScaler-focused certification

Application delivery infrastructure company Citrix Systems has announced two Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) certification tracks: CCA for Citrix NetScaler 8 and CCA for Citrix Access Gateway 8 Enterprise Edition. These are the first certifications focused on the Citrix NetScaler platform: one of the tracks concentrates on administration and support of Citrix NetScaler 8; the other concentrates on Citrix Access Gateway 8 Enterprise Edition, which is a built-in component of Citrix NetScaler 8.

According to Citrix, the new certifications prepare IT professionals to become experts on Citrix NetScaler and evolve their professional skill set to address new technology developments in the Web 2.0 space such as enterprise mash-ups and service-oriented architectures.

To obtain the CCA for Citrix NetScaler 8 certification, candidates must pass Citrix exam 731, Citrix NetScaler 8.0: Administration. Two new instructor-led courses will be available to prepare candidates for the exam.

The CCA for Citrix Access Gateway 8 Enterprise Edition certification is obtained by passing Citrix exam 309, Citrix Access Gateway 8.0 Enterprise Edition: Administration. An instructor-led course to prepare candidates for the exam will be available along with the exam release.

All courses and exams for Citrix NetScaler 8.0 and Citrix Access Gateway 8.0 Enterprise Edition are expected to be available in Q3 2007.
