Autonomy to acquire CA Technologies Information Governance business

Autonomy Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure software, has announced its intention to acquire CA Technologies Information Governance business.

The asset acquisition includes CA Records Manager, a market leader in federated and physical records management and CA Message Manager, an industry leading solution for capturing and managing all messages according to corporate and regulatory requirements.

In addition, CA Technologies Information Governance employees will join Autonomy to continue to provide world-class sales, support and products to existing and new customers.

Commenting on the Acquisition, Neil Araujo, CEO of Autonomy iManage said, “With the importance of transparency, regulatory oversight and consumer advocacy at an all-time high, the need for an end-to-end solution for Information Governance has never been stronger.”

The combination of Autonomy with CA Technologies Information Governance business, he added, will further strengthen Autonomy’s solutions for the legal, regulatory and investigative markets.

Said Jacob Lamm, CA Technologies executive vice president for strategy and corporate development, “This deal works for both CA Technologies and Autonomy and, most of all, for the customers of CA Records Manager and CA Message Manager who will continue to have access to leading edge information governance products.”
The transaction is expected to close in early Q3 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
