Weyerhaeuser selects HP for
IT services deal

Weyerhaeuser has signed a
seven-year global IT services contract with HP to run, manage and support
its distributed IT environment.
Under the contract, HP will provide Weyerhaeuser, an international forest
products company, a single point of contact for client and server
management, software and storage management, business continuity and
availability and disaster recovery solutions, as well as mission-critical
technical support and lifecycle management services. In addition, to support
Weyerhaeuser’s end-user workplace environment, HP will provide End-User
Workplace Solutions such as its Global Service Desk services and desktop,
mobile and messaging solutions.
As part of the HP Service Management solution portfolio, HP will also
provide standard information technology infrastructure library (ITIL)
processes, including services such as messaging and collaboration,
governance, help desk, infrastructure management, monitoring and management
tools.
HP will also work collaboratively with Weyerhaeuser to develop its
technology roadmap and be responsible for implementing associated IT
initiatives. |
