Unisys provides NEC with hardware maintenance services

Unisys has announced that it has been selected by NEC Computers Asia Pacific to provide desktop and laptop on-site hardware maintenance to customers in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, with expected expansion to New Zealand and other Asian markets.

The three-year agreement includes the provision of next business-day response services, hardware parts management and logistics services. Now, NEC can centrally manage its hardware maintenance across parts of Asia Pacific via Unisys, where previously it had different service providers in each country. A regional program office in Sydney offers real-time reporting that allows the service team to view the status of all service calls and manage the allocation of resources.

With this agreement, NEC Computers Asia Pacific hopes to increase customer satisfaction and benefits to customers in the consumer and commercial computer hardware market.
