MediaRing, a global
VoIP service provider, has unveiled its new MediaRing MobileVoIP, a service
that offers free unlimited mobile calls amongst its users when connected to
the Internet through a WiFi network.
MobileVoIP allows users to retain their existing mobile phone number,
enabling them to call each other without the need to key in any special
access codes. The service’s smart dialing capability assures that no
additional steps are required after Internet connectivity has been
established.
“The user experience when making a call is unchanged – the service does not
require you to change your calling habits. Just select the number from your
mobile phonebook and call,” pointed out Kaushik Patel, MediaRing’s Vice
President of Global Marketing.
The smart dialing capability ensures that the user spends the least when
making a call - in most cases absolutely free if both parties are connected
to the service. With MediaRing MobileVoIP, users can enjoy free mobile calls
to anyone, anywhere in the world.
“The service is not bound to any mobile operator. Mobile VoIP calls are made
via MediaRing’s Global IP network, therefore bypassing the traditional
mobile network,” Patel explained.
“In the last couple years, we have seen a significant increase in WiFi
penetration, both in homes, business and in public areas. More and more
cities and countries are moving towards offering WiFi connectivity to their
residents. With such momentum, MediaRing MobileVoIP offers a revolutionary
service that empowers mobile consumers with greater flexibility, mobility
and most importantly, control. You can now decide how to place and route
your local or international calls; benefit from the savings and without
compromising your user experience,” Patel continued.
MediaRing MobileVoIP offers a world of low rates to any fixed-line or mobile
numbers that are not on the MediaRing MobileVoIP service or not connected to
Internet, regardless of the countries where the calls are made from or
received.
“With MediaRing MobileVoIP, our users can enjoy rates starting from as low
as $0.02 per minute for international calls. In addition, when they travel
overseas, the service helps to do away with costly roaming charges,” said
Patel.
MediaRing MobileVoIP is available on SIP-enabled phones with WiFi
capability. These phones currently include the Nokia E & N series phones. To
