High-performance
networking provider Juniper Networks has announced that IBM, Kasenna, NEC
and Polycom are the company’s newest Open IP development partners.
The Juniper Networks Open IP development programmes provide tools and
support for creating advanced products and services that combine the
technology and expertise of partners with the extensive networking and
security capabilities from Juniper Networks. The Open IP development
programmes include the Open IP Solution Development Program (OSDP) and the
Open IP Service Creation Program (OSCP).
As new members of the OSDP, IBM and NEC have access to the Partner Solution
Development Platform (PSDP) to develop specialised applications on
best-in-class JUNOS software through a powerful set of resources, including
a software development kit with intelligent and secure interfaces to JUNOS
routing and service functions, as well as technical and business support.
Kasenna and Polycom, as new members of the OSCP, are creating intelligent IP
service management functionality through the development of standards-based
interfaces to the Juniper Networks SRC Session and Resource Control
Portfolio. The OSCP, which now includes 14 active partners, enables service
providers to rapidly create and deploy new policy-based IP services to
optimise the use of network resources and deliver assured experiences for
hundreds of thousands of subscribers.
