introduces ASC Advantage program in APAC

AppTrigger, the
provider of telecom application connectivity solutions, has introduced the
Application Session Controller (ASC) Advantage program in the Asia Pacific
region.
ASC Advantage is an integrated program that helps service providers evaluate
application business models and examine the risks and rewards of advanced
network migration strategies.
The ASC Advantage program is designed to mitigate the risks by identifying
cost reducing and revenue enhancing opportunities made possible through the
use of Application Sessions Controllers such as AppTrigger’s Ignite.
Service providers are given an introduction to the cost and revenue benefits
of extending legacy applications to next generation networks and bringing
new applications to existing customers on existing networks.
“Until now, the decision of costly re-writes and the repurchase of
applications for new networks has been a cost of doing business. Through
this program, we look forward to working with service providers to directly
address the core business drivers that have long hindered the application
landscape,” says Patrick Fitzgerald, SVP of Global Sales and Marketing at
AppTrigger.
“With the ASC Advantage Program, we will be able to give service providers
direct results and actionable plans to lower costs and increase revenues.”
AppTrigger launched its purpose-built Ignite ASC in the Asia-Pacific market
in May 2008, giving service providers a platform to help integrate new and
legacy applications as the region leaps forward toward next generation
mobile networks.
As countries like China and India prepare for the imminent launch of 3G
networks, competitive pressure in these markets will rise significantly.
Service providers will certainly take this opportunity to roll out
innovative services on these new networks to encourage service adoption
amongst existing customers, or even grow the customer base, said Chris Todd,
President and CEO of AppTrigger.
“The Ignite ASC enables complex call control and protocol interworking to
take place in a dynamic, real time environment, allowing service providers
to realise tremendous savings and accelerate their next-gen transitions,
while maintaining a constant user experience as they deploy new applications
and migrate their services to next-generations networks,” he said.
