Orange Business
Services, France Telecom Group’s division for worldwide enterprise services
and a leading information and communications technology provider, has opened
an International M2M Centre (IMC) in Brussels as a global showcase of its
real-time M2M connectivity solutions. The IMC aims to provide expertise and
support to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide that use M2M
technology in their products and services, as well as multinational
companies with M2M applications such as fleet management, telemetry and
remote maintenance.
The IMC is an important building block in Orange Business Services Real-Time
Business Strategy to develop real-time communications solutions for
multinational businesses. The company has more than one million active M2M
SIM cards in Europe, mobile networks in 29 countries and a seamless fixed
network in 220 countries and territories.
“Orange Business Services is a forerunner in M2M connectivity. The IMC
demonstrates our capability to provide customers anywhere in the world,
including ASEAN, with the best, customised M2M connectivity solutions that
meet their individual needs,” said Charles Kennaway, General Manager ASEAN,
Orange Business Services.
Orange Business Services is a driving force behind the development and
spread of M2M worldwide. It is currently working on defining a new
generation of M2M SIM cards aimed at developing standards-based M2M
technology.
