Networks
ConvergenceAsia staff
06/06/2007
Enterprise LAN switch
vendor ProCurve Networking will demonstrate the future of networking with
Adaptive Networks at CommunicAsia 2007, the 18th International
Communications and Information Technology Exhibition & Conference. ProCurve, which is a business unit of HP, delivers wired and wireless
enterprise networking products, services and solutions.
The foundation for ProCurve’s business model is the Adaptive Networks
strategy in which networks are adaptive to users, applications and an
organisation’s needs.
The Adaptive Network is personalised and open. Users get easy access to the
right information and resources they need to perform their tasks most
productively – no matter where they connect, or which device they use.
ProCurve has also fortified security for the Adaptive Network with new
solutions in its ProActive Defense security portolio, to provide customers
reliable network protection and comprehensive network access control.
At CommunicAsia ProCurve will demonstrate its Network Immunity Manager, a
security management application that delivers intelligent network threat
management, which helps provide internal threat detection and zero day
attack protection to enhance security in both wired and wireless network
environments.
A range of new ProCurve switches ideal for small and growing businesses will
be showcased at the event. These include the ProCurve 1400 unmanaged Gigabit
Switch series and the ProCurve 1700 Web Managed Switch series. The
standards-based switches are suitable for deploying in open spaces and are
ideal for companies that do not have large IT staff or extensive networking
expertise.
Other ProCurve switches on display include: the flagship ProCurve 5406, the
ProCurve 5304, and the ProCurve 3448, the first ProCurve product to feature
industry-standard 10-Gig capability. |
