Global provider of advanced
communications and IT solutions Verizon Business has selected Juniper
Networks’ WXC platform, a highly scalable WAN acceleration solution, for a
new Managed WAN Optimization Service. Juniper Networks is a global supplier
of high-performance networking infrastructure.
“We chose Juniper Networks high-performance WXC platform for our Managed WAN
Optimization Service because it enhances application visibility and improves
application response time and WAN efficiency,” said Michael Marcellin, vice
president of product marketing at Verizon Business. “Their platform offers
significant scalability which is enabling us to meet the needs of our
multinational customers.”
Juniper’s high-performance WXC platform enables Verizon Business’
professional services staff to fine-tune network performance to improve
application delivery and reduce bottlenecks. Verizon’s new Managed WAN
Optimization Service, which relies on Juniper’s WXC platform, can help
distributed enterprises to accelerate application delivery over the WAN,
leverage WAN investments and boost user productivity.
The WXC platform improves application performance over the WAN by
recognising and eliminating redundant transmissions; accelerating TCP and
application-specific protocols; prioritising and allocating access to
bandwidth; and ensuring high application availability at sites with multiple
WAN links.
The WXC application acceleration platforms work end-to-end with a multitude
of applications, including Web-based, client-server, custom software, voice
and video. The platforms also include a broad set of management tools for
monitoring and reporting on WAN and application performance. |
