Microsoft Windows Mobile smart devices provider HTC has made it possible for its phone models to access the Internet using Yahoo! Go.

To bring its users a more convenient and varied mobile internet experience, HTC and Yahoo will also launch consumer activities to promote this platform to a wider range of existing HTC phone users.

From today, HTC users can go to HTC eClub to download the “Yahoo! Go” application thereby replicating the Yahoo Internet experience onto their HTC phones. In addition, users can synchronise their Yahoo personal settings onto the phone, meaning all Yahoo settings will automatically be synchronised to their HTC phone.

Yahoo! Go provides many Internet services including web browsing, email, various entertainment, sports and business news feeds, as well as a quick launcher to access Flickr, an online photo sharing site.

“This collaboration between HTC Asia and Yahoo is a great experience. In future, HTC will continue to observe consumers’ needs to plan our development directions, so as to provide our customers with a more convenient and mobile lifestyle,” said Jack Tong, VP of HTC Asia.

From 31 December 2007 to 28 January 2008, every eligible HTC user who successfully downloads the “Yahoo Go!” application from the HTC eClub will stand a chance to win a HTC Touch and other great prizes. For more details, go to www.asia.htc.com/campaign/SEA/2008/Yahoo_Go/index.html.
