NCS has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Information Technology Authority (ITA), Oman, to develop the Ubar Portal. The portal will serve as the new service delivery platform that connects the citizens and government of Oman.

NCS Group, the largest ICT service provider for the Singapore government has been tasked with the design, delivery, implementation and maintenance of the Ubar Portal over a five year period.

Upon completion, the citizens of Oman will be able to connect and access government information and services online, via the portal itself or via different channels such as other government web sites, kiosks and even via mobile phones.

Chong Yoke Sin, CEO, NCS Group said the Ubar Portal is designed with users in mind, providing a new standard of ease and convenience without compromising confidentiality and security.

With a new service delivery platform in place, Oman's various government agencies will be able to develop and roll out a wide range of new e-Services in a shorter timeframe, reducing service delivery costs to government and enhancing service delivery standards to citizens.
