Splunk, an IT Search
company, and Systex, a Taiwan-based IT service provider, have announced a
strategic pan-Asia partnership. The agreement covers master distributor
rights across 8 Asian countries, the establishment of Splunk Lab in Systex
with over 200 engineering and technical resources, development of
applications based on Splunk, and dedicated sales, marketing and support
people throughout the region focused on building Splunk's Asian business.
This agreement provides Splunk with extensive market coverage - Systex has
nearly 50 offices in 8 countries including Taiwan, China, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Said Robert Lau, Vice President of Asia Pacific at Splunk, "Demand for
Splunk in Asia is strong, and we are extremely excited to have found a
partner that is so well aligned with Splunk and able to dramatically
accelerate our penetration of the Asian market."
Systex, in partnership with Splunk, is establishing a world-class Splunk lab
in Taiwan to collaborate closely with Splunk's headquarters team to localise
Splunk products and develop a broad set of applications based on Splunk's IT
search platform.
The lab will leverage Systex' extensive domain expertise in industries such
as financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare,
education and government as well as Systex competencies in IT operations,
security, and business intelligence. The Taiwan-based Splunk Lab will also
be certified to provide localised training and Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical
support to Splunk customers and partners.
Splunk has created a new product category - IT Search - that every data
centre should be using, and that is why "we are making such a strategic
investment of our resources into the Systex-Splunk partnership", said Hilo
Chen, CEO & President of Systex. |
