Independent IT management
software company CA has announced the formation of a global virtualisation
management partner community, which is comprised of leading reseller, cloud,
and technology partners. The CA Partner Community for Business
Transformation Through Virtualisation Management is designed to enable
partners to improve the efficiency, quality, and agility of their customers’
virtualised environments. Foundation members include Empowered Networks and
VMware.
Through the community, CA will work with strategic reseller and technology
partners to deliver virtualisation management solutions and business best
practices that enable both enterprises and service providers to transform
their physical and virtual infrastructure from a cost centre into an enabler
of innovation and business growth. CA will also work closely with cloud
computing partners to meet the critical needs of their customers, using
virtualisation management as a business transformation driver.
The CA Partner Community for Business Transformation Through Virtualisation
Management empowers CA’s partners to address the pre-production and
production scale challenges their customers face in deploying virtualisation
infrastructure, applications and services. Through the community, CA will
work with partners to deliver strategic, high-value services that will
streamline the expansion and efficiency of customers’ production
environments in critical areas such as capacity planning and modelling,
configuration management (server, application), data centre consolidation,
application staging, green IT planning, ITIL process creation and
standardisation, next-generation data centre (NGDC) design, performance
monitoring and maintenance, policy creation and mapping, run-book
automation, SOA architecture build-out, and virtualisation management best
practices.
“As virtualisation empowers IT to become a key catalyst of business growth
and profitability, the network, systems database, and application management
considerations that companies need to take into account are more strategic
and business-focused than ever before,” said Roger Pilc, corporate senior
vice president and general manager of CA’s Infrastructure Management and
Data Centre Automation business unit. “We look forward to working with our
partners to deliver IT and business transformation best practices that
enable customers to fully leverage their virtual infrastructures to quickly
and cost-effectively respond to changing market conditions.”
