CA, the leader in
Enterprise IT Management, and salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing
company, have partnered to deliver agile development management in the cloud
on the Force.com platform.
Through the alliance, CA and salesforce.com intend to introduce CA Agile
Planner on Force.com to help small businesses and enterprises alike
accelerate development timelines while gaining control and visibility over
100 per cent of their development initiatives.
Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO, salesforce.com said, “Agile development is
transforming the way that companies innovate, and by partnering with CA,
we’re empowering companies to manage agile development in the cloud.”
CA Agile Planner is designed to build on salesforce.com’s agile management
expertise. By being built on the Force.com platform, CA Agile Planner joins
the more than 135,000 custom applications built by the salesforce.com
community of 200,000 developers. It will better enable users to
simultaneously manage multiple development methodologies such as Scrum and
Extreme Programming (XP).
“With CA Agile Planner, CA is seeking to leverage both technologies for the
benefit of developers large and small. If they want to develop better cloud
services, regardless of methodology, and get them to market faster, CA Agile
Planner on Force.com will help get them there,” said John Swainson, CEO, CA.
According to current plans, CA expects that CA Agile Planner will be
generally available in the first half of Calendar Year 2010 on
salesforce.com’s AppExchange and from CA. The companies intend to co-market
the solution. |
