Sybase offers faster reporting performance

Enterprise and mobile software company Sybase has announced the availability of a bundle specifically designed for Singapore organisations that is expected to offer reporting performance up to a hundred times faster at half the cost. The bundle will combine Sybase IQ Reporting Server with IBM System x architecture and MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Software.

“Be it the specific requirements of departmental reporting, or the CIO’s need to increase performance and decrease cost at an enterprise level, Sybase IQ’s report server eliminates the need for space-consuming indexes and summaries and time-intensive query tuning while giving business users an impressive ad hoc query and reporting performance,” said Sivadas Ramadas, Managing Director, Sybase South East Asia.

Sybase IQ enables unsurpassed query performance for the most complex reporting tasks, for the rapidly expanding user base, on the largest datasets — all within an environment that is affordable, eco-friendly and manageable at the implementation stage and throughout the information lifecycle.

IBM System x offers a complete, integrated systems management capabilities, providing a more integrated approach to service management. Additionally, the inclusion of MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Software for reporting, analysis and monitoring, will enable users with basic skills to create a broad range of dashboards and reports in a simple manner.

The bundles are available with immediate effect at the prices of up to US$100,000 for mid-level enterprises and US$200,000 for large enterprises.
