Designed to encourage SOA
(service-oriented architecture) adoption, IT and communications solutions
provider Fujitsu Asia has announced the SAP Discovery System, an
out-of-the-box software-based evaluation tool for ESOA (enterprise
service-oriented architecture).
The SAP Discovery System enables customers and partners to evaluate the
benefits of aligning the SOA with business processes for reducing total cost
of ownership.
Powered by the Fujitsu Primergy TX300 S3 dual-core Linux and Windows server,
the SAP Discovery System comprises the SAP ERP 2005 and the SAP NetWeaver
2004x, both pre-installed software applications.
The Primergy TX300 S3 automatically returns the SAP Discovery System to its
factory settings after testing, thus ensuring a risk-free and cost-effective
environment for SOA evaluation and training. As a result, end-users are able
to evaluate different business processes – designed using standards-based
enterprise web services – using original data each time.
The unique features of the Primergy TX300 S3 provide an ideal platform for
businesses to learn more about enterprise SOA using the SAP Discovery
System, said Tom Kobayashi, Director of Solutions Marketing, Fujitsu Asia.
"In addition, the SAP Discovery System represents a simple way for
application specialists, IT managers, and enterprise infrastructure managers
to evaluate SAP applications within the familiar structure of their own
organisations," he added.
The SAP Discover System is priced starting at US$7,199 and is available for
the ASEAN (including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines
and Vietnam) markets. |
