Salesforce.com, provider of
on-demand business services, has announced that Barclays Wealth, the wealth
management arm of Barclays Group, has selected Salesforce to provide
enhanced global visibility of its sales leads and a mobile customer
relationship management (CRM) solution for its Intermediaries & Corporates
business unit.
Managing £93 billion client assets globally, Barclays Wealth’s ambition is
to double its business within the next three years. Its previous CRM
application failed to support its growth objectives with real-time sales
pipeline reporting, collaboration and information sharing among multiple
branches, and mobile CRM capabilities.
"We chose salesforce.com as it has an impressive record in servicing many of
the world’s leading financial services institutions," said Ben Wong,
e-Solutions and Trade Executive, Barclays Wealth Intermediaries & Corporates.
"Deployment of salesforce.com's on-demand CRM solution in our UK
headquarters has been very successful. Rolling out Salesforce in Asia
Pacific is enabling us to drive sales performance and global business
initiatives by improving visibility across our operations."
"Barclays Wealth needed a Web-based CRM solution like Salesforce to
centralise multiple data sources for better management from both a business
and technology perspective," said Wong.
By standardising on Salesforce, Barclays Wealth's team in Asia Pacific is
not only able to comply with corporate reporting standards, but more
importantly, work together to increase cross-selling opportunities. The
intelligent workflow functionality in Salesforce helps define, route and
alert all the people involved in managing an account or opportunity, pulling
together experts from different countries and divisions to work in synergy.
As part of the deployment, Barclays Wealth integrated Salesforce with
Microsoft Outlook email to increase mobile workforce efficiency.
Representatives on the move are now able to use mobile devices to
communicate with customers while accessing Saleforce at the same time to
manage sales opportunities anywhere. |
