CA announces strategic alliance with Avnet Partner Solutions

IT management software company CA has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining an arrangement by which Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of global technology distributor Avnet (AVT), will become the primary sales interface in Singapore for CA’s enterprise IT management software.

The arrangement is expected to become operational by the end of 2007, following the signing of a definitive agreement.

As part of this agreement, Avnet Partner Solutions, a subsidiary of Avnet in Singapore, will manage the day-to-day sales activities, supporting customers with a broad array of services designed to enhance and expand their businesses.

CA’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, Gavin Selkirk, said the strategic alliance with Avnet Partner Solutions supports CA’s mission to revolutionise IT management for enterprises.

Serving customers in more than 70 countries, Avnet is one of the world’s largest industrial distributors of electronic components, enterprise network and computer products and embedded sub-systems.

Avnet connects more than 300 of the world’s leading electronic component and computer product manufacturers, as well as software developers, and acts as a single source to meet the multiple needs of more than 100,000 customers

CA’s customers in Singapore will continue to enjoy access to the company’s considerable support capabilities via their IT management infrastructures, while CA Asia South’s leadership will maintain a close daily working relationship with Avnet Partner Solutions.

This channel partnership model is the latest regional development in transforming CA’s Enterprise IT Management (EITM) vision into reality to unify and simplify IT management for customers.
