Open source solutions
provider Red Hat has announced Integrated Virtualisation Inside to help
enterprises take advantage of virtualisation technology without any
additional expenditure on software, hardware or operating system.
Red Hat’s virtualisation capability is integrated in the Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 5 operating system and comes at no additional cost to the enterprise.
“Virtualisation is fully integrated in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. It is
inside. It comes at no additional cost. It delivers a high performance
platform for an organisation to virtualise even the most demanding workload,
and being open source, makes it an extremely secured virtualisation
solution,” said Gery Messer, President of Red Hat Asia Pacific.
With Red Hat virtualisation, users get an integrated, secured and managed
virtualisation solution. It enables users to deploy a single platform
throughout the enterprise for all of their virtualisation requirements: from
small servers to mainframe class systems, for Linux and Windows servers and
for the most demanding workloads.
Red Hat’s integrated virtualisation can be used without modification across
any deployment model. It will run on most desktop and servers platforms,
including Xeon and Itanium from Intel, Opteron from AMD, and Power from IBM. |
