Critical information
exchange solutions provider IntraLinks is increasing secure access to its
platform with Adaptive Authentication from RSA, The Security Division of
EMC. IntraLinks customers will continue to use their convenient single
sign-on to access information and files while immediately receiving enhanced
authentication security.
IntraLinks provides on-demand solutions for businesses to securely
collaborate, communicate and exchange critical information inside and
outside the enterprise. For more than a decade, 750,000 professionals from
more than 90,000 organisations have relied on IntraLinks to accelerate
workflow, optimise business processes and realise new profit potential.
“As more and more data is shared outside the firewall, IT teams are being
tasked with creating a higher level of security for critical information,”
said John Landy, CTO of IntraLinks. “Leveraging RSA Adaptive Authentication
will provide IntraLinks users with industry-leading, risk-based
authentication technology.”
Risk-based authentication is engineered to ensure that the security of
sensitive information cannot be compromised through the simple theft of a
username and password. With RSA Adaptive Authentication provided via
software-as-a-service (SaaS), IntraLinks will provide its customers with
enhanced user validation by assigning a unique risk score to each user’s
activity. When high-risk policies are triggered, users can be prompted for
additional credentials such as those gained through challenge and response
questions. |
