Fortinet has announced a three-tiered Global Alliance Partner Program to create effective partnerships with companies to meet varying customer requirements and extending a variety of benefits to chosen partners.

The new program will consist of an ecosystem of information technology (IT) vendors, global systems integrators, service providers, and technology consultancy firms. Initial program members include Alcatel-Lucent, AMD, ArcSight, ProCurve Networking by HP and Unisys.

The program’s three levels of participation are categorised under strategic, solution and technology. These serve to encompass the different levels of engagement between the partners to push forward the potency of Fortinet's product portfolio and complimenting IT solutions.

In an ever-evolving threat environment, enterprises and service providers are challenged with protecting increasingly expanding networks that include an array of new applications, services and users. Wireless points of presence, mobile computing environments and next-generation data, voice and video applications and services all bring about new avenues of entry into networks and require granular protection.
