Novell
partners SCS to deliver identity and security management solutions

software provider Novell and ICT services provider Singapore Computer
Systems (SCS) have announced a partnership to deliver identity and security
management solutions in Singapore and the region.
“Novell has observed a growing demand for identity and security management
solutions in the region as a result of increasing security threats and
compliance requirements faced by organisations in both the private and
public sectors. We needed a strong partner with proven security competencies
and strong established links in both the private and public sectors,” said
Maarten Koster, Asia Pacific President, Novell.
The partnership between the two companies will focus on the following three
areas:
- Identity management and provisioning: automate employee provisioning and
de-provisioning based on their roles in the organisation, thus improving
productivity and meeting security requirements.
- Access management: grant secure access to users, both inside and outside
the company, from any location, integrating with existing authentication
frameworks.
- Security information and event monitoring: monitor, remediate and
automated report on network security incidents in real time, decreasing
compliance costs with the reduction in manual work and meeting governance
requirements.
SCS has recently become a Novell Platinum Partner, an exclusive,
by-invitation only membership where at least three specialists will need to
be certified in one or more Novell solution areas. SCS will be receiving
direct partner support for bid management and unlimited 24x7 technology
support within a one hour response time, among other benefits.
Tan Tong Hai, President and CEO, SCS said the strategic alliance is timely
in meeting the growing demands for identity and security management
services. “With 28 years of enterprise experience in Singapore and in the
region, and now with Novell’s strong technology platform, we aim to deliver
even greater levels of services to our customers.” |
