Document and knowledge
management solutions provider Fuji Xerox Singapore, and IT management
software company CA, have unveiled three joint solutions that will provide
increased levels of security for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) users
when accessing information and ensuring compliance integrity.
The joint initiative between Fuji Xerox and CA will benefit users of ECM
solutions by streamlining risk management and compliance efficiency, driving
down costs and maximising value in the field of identity and access
management (IAM).
Identity and access rights are a critical component of content security. “We
believe that our partnership with CA will benefit our customers by providing
them with best-of-breed content security solutions,” said Fuji Xerox
Singapore Managing Director Bert Wong.
These solutions will launch immediately in Singapore before being rolled out
across Asia Pacific.
The Fuji Xerox-CA partnership will enable ECM users to secure document
management servers, implement role-based access to sensitive server content
and enjoy an enhanced end-user experience via a single sign-on feature,
while easing identity management concerns and speeding up delivery of
information.
Three package solutions will address the majority of identity-related
security concerns for enterprises using ECM and will be based on CA’s Access
Control, SiteMinder and Identity Manager products.
Solution 1 – based on CA Access Control – enables companies to
centralise both control and distributed enforcement of role-based access to
server resources, while combining cross-platform host protection.
Solution 2 – based on CA SiteMinder – provides centralised web-access
control via user authentication and a single sign-on feature, plus
policy-based authorisation, identity federation and auditing of access to
web applications and portals.
Solution 3 – based on CA Identity Manager – offers automated
identity-management for creation, modification and de-activation of accounts
and entitlements based on user relationships.
The attraction for current Fuji Xerox ECM users is that they will be able to
tighten security immediately, while enterprises moving into the ECM space
for the first time will be able to leapfrog straight into a more secure
scenario.
CA’s Corporate SVP and GM for Asia Pacific & Japan, Gavin Selkirk, said,
“This Fuji Xerox-CA framework for authentication and authorisation liberates
IT executives and administrators such that they can bring sharper focus to
bear on improving access to crucial business information.” |
