Blue Coat opens representative office in India

Blue Coat Systems, the provider of secure content and application delivery products, has announced the opening of its first representative office in New Delhi, India.

This expansion across the Asia Pacific region is part of Blue Coat’s business strategy to further capture market share and meet the demands for solutions that fulfil secure content and application delivery needs, said Lim Pun Kok, Managing Director for ASEAN and ANZ, Blue Coat Systems.

According to IDC, the domestic IT market in India grew by approximately 22.4 per cent in 2006 and is expected to keep the momentum up in 2007. The estimated year-on-year growth in 2007 is estimated to be 21.5 per cent, making it the fastest growing market in the Asia Pacific region.

Blue Coat’s strategic move to enter the market demonstrates the company’s commitment to its partners and customers in this rapidly growing market. Blue Coat solution offerings in India are available through its sole distributor Virtual NetComm and partner resellers.
