Blue Coat
introduces BlueTouch Service options to channel partners

Blue Coat Systems, the
global provider of WAN application delivery and secure web gateway, has
announced a new initiative - BlueTouch Services - to support its channel
partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
BlueTouch Services is a comprehensive set of Blue Coat services and
solutions that include:
- Online and unlimited telephone support, technical support, customer care,
service options, training and professional services.
- A support programme for qualified partners who deliver Level 1 and Level 2
technical support to the end-customers.
BlueTouch Service Options include services and support programmes delivered
by Blue Coat and offered in three packages: Standard, Advanced and Premium.
The BlueTouch Support Partner Program provides partners with the opportunity
to develop an ongoing revenue stream associated with the value-added
services they offer for Blue Coat products.
Upon signing the BlueTouch Support Partner Agreement and becoming “Blue Coat
Certified”, partners will have the ability to attain incremental price
reductions and rebates that may be credited toward Blue Coat Service
Options.
BlueTouch Support Partners will offer their own brand of service offerings
backed by Blue Coat.
Blue Coat has established six Global Support Centres (GSC) across three
continents to provide seamless 24x7 service to over 40,000 deployed
appliances and a high level of multilingual support. Using a follow-the-sun
model, each support centre services its immediate region. Calls that fall
outside that centre’s timeframe are routed to an open support centre, so
that customers can always reach a knowledgeable Blue Coat support engineer
immediately.
Matt Young, vice president of sales, Asia Pacific, Blue Coat Systems said
companies are continually looking for ways to maximise operational
efficiencies, minimise support costs and protect their investment. “Under
the BlueTouch brand, we offer our customers and partners a comprehensive and
unparalleled set of service options and support to meet those business
