Emulex, Brocade technologies integrated into HP SAN Starter Kit

Emulex, a global provider of enterprise-class products and Brocade, a networked storage solutions provider have announced that the two companies' 4Gb/s SAN connectivity solutions and storage provisioning software have been incorporated into the new HP EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit.

Emulex's EZPilot SAN installation and storage provisioning software, 4Gb/s HBAs, and the Brocade 210E switch, which provides 8 ports of 4Gb/s connectivity and innovative ease-of-use features for the small and departmental SAN market segments, have been integrated into the new HP EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit for simplified SAN deployment and management.

"The HP EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit is designed to simplify deployment of a SAN solution with enterprise-class features for entry-level SAN users," said Kyle Fitze, Director of Marketing of Storage Area Networks, StorageWorks Division, HP. "With the with Emulex and Brocade technologies, this offering streamlines installation, deployment and management of a SAN solution."

Emulex's EZPilot installation wizard enables simplified SAN installation and deployment for HBAs, switches, and storage arrays and provides fast and simple storage provisioning for Microsoft Windows and Linux hosts. The HP EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit includes the next-generation of EZPilot software, EZPilot 2.0, with enhancements that include an integrated disk manager, storage array naming, switch naming and direct access to HP StorageWorks Command View EVA software.
