Software AG, a global
business infrastructure software provider, and Proginet, a universal,
multi-platform software solutions provider, have recently announced the
availability of webMethods ActiveTransfer, a solution for managed file
transfer available as part of the webMethods Suite.
Building upon a new strategic OEM partnership with Proginet for its
cross-platform file transfer solution, CyberFusion Integration Suite (CFI),
webMethods ActiveTransfer provides organisations with a secure and reliable
way to transfer large files, facilitates seamless trading partner
integration, and provides a platform for compliance with regulatory mandates
and security best practices.
“Companies struggle with how to move large files within the organisation,
and this challenge is compounded when trying to share information with
external business partners outside the firewall,” said Dr. Peter Kürpick,
Chief Product Officer and Member of the Executive Board, Software AG.
“Traditional file transfer methods, such as FTP, tend to be unreliable,
non-secure, and lacking in the required automation functionalities, and
email is not a viable option for large files.”
webMethods ActiveTransfer, an integrated, efficient file transfer solution,
provides a single point of control and management for all of an
organisation’s file transfer activity, both inside and outside the extended
enterprise. The solution enables organisations to exchange information
securely between all major computer platforms, as well as over the Internet.
“webMethods ActiveTransfer provides businesses a solution that is optimised
to guarantee secure delivery of files inside and outside an organisation.
Additionally, its zero-footprint deployment makes it an ideal solution for
integrating with trading partners,” added Dr. Kürpick. |
