Avaloq consolidates partnership with Orbium

Banking software company Avaloq is consolidating its five-year partnership with Orbium. An international consulting company which focuses on the financial sector, Orbium has been given premium partner status for Switzerland.

Orbium which employs over 100 people, including more than 80 Avaloq-certified consultants, is Avaloq’s second-largest implementation partner. The company was the first Avaloq partner to implement the Avaloq Banking System outside Switzerland - LBBW Luxemburg successfully implemented Avaloq’s core banking system earlier in January.

In addition, Orbium is currently setting up an office in Singapore to provide Avaloq with the support of consultants in the region.

Orbium, with its solid expertise both in banking and in the relevant IT areas, is the perfect partner to successfully roll out our solution, said Francisco Fernandez, CEO of Avaloq Evolution AG, commenting on the new agreement.

Samir Gherbi, Managing Partner at Orbium added, "To date, we have grown extremely successfully in Switzerland with our Avaloq-focused strategy and have received active support from our partner in our expansion abroad. All in all, this is a win-win-win situation for our clients, for Avaloq and for Orbium."

As part of their ongoing expansion, the two companies plan to offer their services jointly in other banking centres.
