Resorts World at Sentosa,
due to open in early 2010, will deploy more than 3,000 desktops and
notebooks from the iconic Think range.
To be deployed over a period of three years, Lenovo Singapore will supply
Resorts World at Sentosa with three models of PCs – the ThinkCentre M57e
desktops and ThinkPad X200 and R400 notebooks. These machines, selected to
meet Resorts World at Sentosa’s specific operational needs, will be integral
to the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Resort. They will be used in
offices, reception and gaming areas.
In addition, all three PC models come equipped with Lenovo’s ThinkVantage
Technologies (TVTs). Lenovo's TVTs help companies avoid IT costs and lost
productivity associated with issues such as data recovery, IT help desk
calls, password resets and asset management.
Yap Chee Yuen, Senior Vice President for Information Technology of Resorts
World at Sentosa said, “We were looking for PCs that would meet our set
criteria as well as give us peace of mind. Lenovo’s ThinkPads and
ThinkCentres are a perfect fit for our requirements."
"We look forward to achieving greater efficiencies across our operations
with this deployment of Lenovo PCs, as we work towards our opening early
next year,” he added.
Resorts World at Sentosa is a 49-hectare integrated leisure and gaming
resort on Singapore's holiday island of Sentosa. The Resort will own and
operate all its key attractions, as well as six hotels, a casino, Southeast
Asia’s first and only Universal Studios Singapore, The Marine Life Park and
the Maritime Experiential Museum. |
