NCS showcases 3D solutions at Spore Airshow 2008

NCS Group’s subsidiary, NCS Communications Engineering, a provider in communication engineering solutions and services, has announced that together with its partners, it will be showcasing innovative aviation, game-like visualisation and 3D solutions at Singapore Airshow 2008.

NCS has been providing comprehensive airport and infrastructural solutions and services to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) from the 1950s at the Kallang Airport to today’s Changi Airport Terminal 3. We have also assisted airport operators in the region to facilitate efficient and reliable air traffic control, communications and security including Singapore Changi Airport – one of the best airports in the world.

At the exhibition, NCS and its partner, HITT Traffic will be showcasing the aviation solutions. HITT's A3000 Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A SMGCS) ensures the highest level of safety at airports in accordance with ICAO and Euro control regulations. To improve the capacity, efficiency and economy at an airport, its new web-based product suite Airport Insight will be showcased. Both systems use innovative technologies to facilitate the airport stakeholders in providing a safe and efficient ground movement. Among the long list of references of HITT are Changi Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport, Frankfurt Airport, and Amsterdam Airport.

Also on display are surveillance solutions for port security and coastal surveillance. The Gatekeeper panoramic infrared sensor provides a 120 degree panoramic view, combined with panoramic High Definition CCTV views for maximum detection of suspect targets. The coastal surveillance demonstration shows laser gated cameras that are automatically controlled by radar, giving unsurpassed surveillance capabilities, especially in poor visibility.

NCS will also be presenting an immersive game-like visualisation system that shows realistic 3D modelling useful for the E.A.S.E. (Experimentation, Analysis, Simulation and Evaluation) domain. An interactive 3-D platform that is highly customisable with additional user-specific features will also be on display. It enables most complicated 3-D models to be readily integrated and presented in a real-time running environment, and can be used for large-scale city planning, defence and crisis management.

NCS, Spatial View’s authorised distributor in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, will be exhibiting a host of Spatial View’s leading edge auto-stereo 3D solutions and products at the exhibition. Spatial View’s auto-stereo displays enable the presentation of 3D rich content of all types in full dimensionality, without the need for 3D glasses.

The Singapore Airshow is Asia's largest aerospace and defence event, serving as a global marketplace and networking platform for the military and civil aviation community. NCS’ booth is located at Airport Pavilion, Booth 503.
